Depending on the selected program, you’ll set off to explore the majestic northern pass, discovering the cultural and historical treasures of the atoll along the way. If you’re feeling a bit thirsty, Vahinetua will provide a bottle of water during the tour. At each stop, your guide will share legends and stories about the sites visited.
You’ll discover, among other highlights, the Tainoka marae, once home to the warrior Tahirivairau, and the traditional oven once used by locals to prepare “rori” (sea cucumber).
