Two tours in the north of the island and two tours in the south of the island.

The first tour is located in Maeva and focuses on archaeology at the Matairea site. Through the vegetation, you will go from one archaeological site to the other while immersing yourself in the Polynesian culture. A shaded path along which you will discover a great variety of vegetation and which will allow you to reach the Paepae Ofata, from there you will enjoy an incredible view on the Vainui lake of Maeva. On the way down, a stop at the fish trap and the monument dedicated to the French and Tahitian dead of the 1846 Maeva battle.

The second route is also on Maeva and is reserved for people used to hiking. It is about reaching Mount Tapu and the whole climb is done on a ridge line with important differences in altitude. Once at the top, there is an exceptional view of the Vainui de Maeva lake.

The third route is to Parea: a magnificent site which allows you to pass in the middle of the “Aito” and ferns, and to discover the bay of Avea, classified among the most beautiful of Polynesia, and the valley of Parea. A view of Avea Bay with the blue gradation before going back down and finishing the tour with a stop at the archaeological site of Marae Anini.

The last route is on Tefarerii, to reach the highest peak of the small island which culminates at 466m. A shaded path through a pine tree plantation. All along the way a view of the lagoon that contrasts with the green of the surrounding vegetation. Once at the top, a view of Moorea, Maio and Tahiti on a clear day. Legends and stories about the village of Tefarerii which was the stronghold of the Royal family.
